General Surgery

General Surgery is a surgical specialty that focuses on the abdomen and its contents; breast, skin, and soft tissue; the head and neck; the vascular and endocrine systems; comprehensive management of trauma; and emergency room, intensive care, and burn units. Surgeons at SSOC have specialized knowledge of patient care both before and after surgery and are experts in the diagnosis of conditions.

Minimally Invasive Surgery

Using the latest advances in minimally invasive techniques, including laparoscopic and robotic-assisted surgeries, our patients often experience less pain, shorter recovery times, lower risk of infection, reduced blood loss, and less external scarring. At SSOC, we use minimally invasive procedures whenever possible in lung, pancreatic, colorectal, liver, heart, esophageal, vascular, kidney, and hernia surgeries.

Thoracic and Vascular Surgery

Thoracic surgery is focused on conditions within the chest of a patient. This not only includes the heart but the lungs and esophagus as well. The surgeons at SSOC are expertly trained in any condition related to the chest and apply the latest diagnostic and surgical to treat each patient. Conditions we treat include chest tumors, mesothelioma, lung cancer, and gastroesophageal conditions among others.

Surgical Oncology

When cancer is suspected or diagnosed, we at SSOC understand that time is of the essence, both medically and emotionally. Appointments are generally scheduled within 24 to 72 hours, and every patient with cancer or a mass is guaranteed a one-hour appointment in order to ensure that questions are answered and fears are allayed. Whether this is your only surgery, or the first of many, we understand cancer and will help you fight it.
