Fred C. Seale, M.D. is a board-certified general surgeon specializing in trauma surgery and laparoscopic surgery. He earned his undergraduate degree in bioengineering, specializing in electrical engineering, at Texas A&M University. Following this, Dr. Seale attended Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX. There he also completed his residency in general surgery, training in the Texas Medical Center in Houston, TX. Following residency, Dr. Seale joined Colorado Surgical Service in December 2001 – which was one of the precursor practices that became Surgical Specialists of Colorado in 2010. Dr. Seale is also board-certified in clinical informatics.

Dr. Seale served as the trauma director at Lutheran Medical Center from 2003 until 2009. Since then, his practice has focused on the care of critically injured patients at Colorado’s leading Level 1 trauma center – St. Anthony’s Hospital in Lakewood. Dr. Seale teaches other physicians as an Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) instructor and assists in teaching general surgery residents both trauma and acute care surgery. Additionally, Dr. Seale specializes in minimally invasive surgery and its application in complex emergency general surgery.

When not practicing surgery, Dr. Seale spends his time raising two beautiful children, running, hiking, and enjoying all that the Colorado outdoors has to offer.
