Dr. Rebecca Knight is a board-certified general surgeon and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. She does a broad range of general surgery procedures with a special interest in hernia repairs.

Born in Laramie, Wyoming, she moved to Colorado at a young age and grew up in Lakewood. She attended Lakewood High School and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology with a focus on microbiology and a minor in fermentation sciences at The Colorado College on a Boettcher Scholarship. Dr. Knight received her medical degree from the University of Colorado School of Medicine and completed internship and residency at St. Joseph Hospital in Denver.

She is a past president of the Colorado Chapter of the American College of Surgeons and the Denver Academy of Surgery. She is a member of a variety of surgical societies including the Americas Hernia Society.

In her free time, Dr. Knight enjoys traveling, cooking and spending time with her husband and their 4 kids. She loves the Colorado Avalanche and is an avid fan of hockey fan as well as soccer and other sports. She is a co-founder of an education and literacy project in Belize, Central America which works to support students through high school and beyond. She is particularly passionate about elephants.
