Eben Strobos, MD, FACS, FASCRS is a board certified Colon and Rectal Surgeon as well as a board certified General Surgeon. He is a fellow of the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons as well as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is the Medical Director of Colon and Rectal Surgery at Lutheran Medical Center, and sits on several Robotic and GI disease site team committees at both Lutheran Medical Center and Saint Anthony's Hospital. He did his Colon and Rectal Fellowship at UT Houston in Texas and did his general surgery residency in Abington Jefferson, Pennsylvania.
Eben Strobos is actively involved in teaching Colon and Rectal Surgery to both his peers and residents. He runs 1 of only 15 Intuitive Robotic Colon and Rectal Surgery Epicenters in the United States. Colon and Rectal Surgeons, Surgical Oncologists and General Surgeons fly in from around the country to observe Dr. Strobos' Robotic Cases. He is in the top 1% for annual robotic colon and rectal surgery volume and can boast low length of stays, low conversion rates, high minimally invasive rates, and low morbidity and mortality rates as seen in many of the graphs supplied here. Dr. Strobos also teaches Robotic Colon and Rectal T300 and T400 courses around the country for surgeons looking to expand into robotic colon and rectal surgery, and proctors surgeons when performing such cases. He has published extensively in the field including expert commentary on 6 colon and rectal chapters in the most recent Atlas of Robotic Surgery.
Dr. Strobos has been named a 5280 top doctor for the last 2 years in a row, and is well respected by his local peers. He established and organized a Colorado Colon and Rectal Journal Club which meets quarterly and pulls in all the Colon and Rectal Surgeons from around Denver and the outlying areas. There he and his colleagues discuss the latest advancements in Colon and Rectal Surgery and share teaching moments.
