Dr. Bocker is a Head and Neck Oncology and Endocrine Surgery specialist certified by the American Head and Neck Society as well as a board certified General Surgeon. She has extensive experience in complex thyroid and parathyroid surgery and treatment. She has a special love for parotid surgery. Besides her Head and Neck experience and training she is also currently obtaining her MBA in Healthcare Administration from University of Colorado -Denver.
Dr. Bocker was born in the suburbs of Chicago and after high school attended the University of Iowa where she obtained a Bachelor of Science with Honors and Distinction in Exercise Science. She received her Medical Doctorate from Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago. She completed her General Surgery Residency at Montefiore Medical Center and went on to complete a Head and Neck Surgical Oncology Fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York. Dr. Bocker worked in New York prior to her move to the mountains of Colorado in 2012 when she joined Surgical Specialists of Colorado.
Dr. Bocker believes that every patient is family and anyone who knows Dr. Bocker knows the importance of family to her. She wants to make sure every patient is as comfortable as they can be in a very stressful time in their lives. Each patient gets all the time they need to ensure all questions are answered and that the patient and their loved ones understand the treatment plan. She feels her surgery is her art and puts her heart and soul into each operation.
Outside of work Dr. Bocker has many activities. She loves spending time with her dogs, cats and husband. She is constantly on the go whether it is summiting a 14er, doing a triathlon, snowboarding, or jumping out of planes.
