Biography
CV
Dr Krista Antenucci is a general and trauma surgeon. She joined Surgical Specialists of Colorado in 2017.
Dr. Antenucci has a special interest in hernia repairs, minimally invasive surgery, and robotic surgery, but also enjoys the variety that comes with general surgery. She finds particular fulfillment in helping the active Denver population get back to their hobbies safely and quickly through minimally invasive surgery. Her goal in medicine is to educate her patients on both their diagnosis and treatment options, so they have a full understanding prior to surgery.
Dr. Antenucci grew up in Minnesota, and completed her undergraduate degree in biology from the College of St Benedict. She then completed medical school at Des Moines University – College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery. She went on to complete residency training in the Detroit area, at St John Hospital – Macomb-Oakland Campus. After graduating in 2013, Dr. Antenucci worked in Southeast Michigan until moving to Colorado to work at Surgical Specialists.
When away from the hospital and office, Dr. Antenucci spends time with her husband and two children. She enjoys wood-working, hiking, camping, cooking, and traveling.
She sees her patients in Golden and Wheat Ridge.
