SSOC’s Dr. Christopher Zaw-Mon will be providing at Lutheran Medical Center on November 18, 2020 at 9:30 AM in Learning Center 4/5 an educational inservice for all Lutheran Medical Center staff on the use of the ER-REBOA (resuscitative endovascular balloon occlusion of the aorta) catheter. There will be the opportunity to utilize a table top torso simulator. It will be a great opportunity to familiarize oneself with the procedural steps associated with managing a patient who presents in shock with on-compressible torso hemorrhage. He will have available a pulsatile simulator, REBOA catheters, and kits for hands-on opportunity. All Lutheran Medical Center staff is welcome: Trauma, OR, ER, IR, Anesthesia, Vascular, etc. Due to the current regulations there will be a limit to the number of people who may attend the in person event. Due to these regulations the in person learning will be for training on the model only and Dr. Zaw-Mon recorded his presentation which will be sent out prior to November 18, 2020 and is also available below.
